DescriptionAre you ready to SAFARI and come face to face with some of the fastest, tallest and cutest animals around?? Then here we go......
We have four fantastic miles of safari trail with close encounters galore. Have you ever seen a rare White Lion? Probably not as they are virtually extinct in the wild and we have the only pride in the UK. The adventure continues - track down Elephant; Rhino; Tiger; Wild Dog; Lion; Wallaby; Wolf; Buffalo; Zebra; Gnu; Camel and all kinds of Deer. The animal reserve is home to over 600 animals and covers a vast area of 100 acres, which is often abundant with babies.
What’s more, this is a self-drive safari in your own vehicle and you get the chance to feed some of the animals too – special diet animal food is available on arrival for a small charge. And, you can drive through as many times as you wish! Alternatively, if you prefer to be driven, then you are able to book a guided minibus tour for an extra charge – please ask when you arrive – this is always very popular, so early booking is recommended.
A little tip – the animal reserves really can get very busy at peak time (11.00am-2.00pm). If you arrive during this time, please consider parking first, visit all the other attractions – like Discovery Trail and Amusement Area - and return to the animal reserves after 3.00pm, when it is often less busy.
Not just all the fun of the fair, our amusement area that is situated past the Hippo Lakes beyond the Discovery Zone, has a wonderful variety of 30 fun rides and attractions to suit the whole family. Whether you wish to feel the fury of the New Venom Tower Drop as it plummets back to earth, having winched you gently to the top of it’s 30m tower; get well and truly soaked on the Zambezi Water Splash or take it easy aboard the galloping zebras on the Congo Carousel ride, you are sure to have a fun filled adventure at West Midland Safari Park.
New ‘Cubs Kingdom’ is a place where the fun never stops and is the perfect pastime for your own little cubs! There are nine rides and attractions for your young adventurers to explore, which includes the new Dune Dashers and the interactive Fire Rescue Rangers where youngsters can imagine they are a firefighter – a lovely water experience for budding firemen (and ladies, of course)!
The amusement area can offer a whole variety of very popular attractions, which includes the £1m Wild River Rafting and as it’s name suggests it’s a great chance to test those rapids! Then there’s the Black Fly – not for the faint hearted, you’ll soon get disorientated on this one. The ever-popular Twister Coaster has become a firm favourite as it twists and turns it way up and down its track high above the ground. Then there’s the Rhino Roller Coaster – a super ride and above all, great fun!
The minimum height required to use our rides is 0.8 metres and with our colour-coded easy to use ‘check your own height’ system, finding rides to suit you is really easy.
Our best advice is – HAVE A GREAT TIME !!
